Description
Plastic Comb binding has been one of the most popular types
of bindings for many years, and for good reason. It is very
versatile and allows you to bind any book from 3/16" up
to 2" wide. If you have a comb punch now, you can also
bind with 19-loop wire by purchasing one of our wire closers.
Plastic combs are available in wide variety of lengths and colors.
Automated Book Binding can imprint your company name, logo,
or both on your plastic combs. We can also screen them to match
any color!
Binding Process
#1: Punch your paper. Remember to only punch as many sheets
as your machine is rated to handle.
#2: Place your comb on the comb spreader. If your machine
has a comb spreader adjusting knob, adjust to the diameter
of the comb being used. Push or pull your spreader handle
to open the comb.
#3: Lay your pages on the comb so that the rings feed into
the punched holes.
#4: Pull or push your spreader handle so that comb closes.
